Book detailing local Cosby accuser's story hits store shelves
Until this week, Patte O’Connor was only known as Jane Doe No. 6.
But with the Tuesday release of former Philadelphia Daily News reporter Nicole Weisensee Egan’s book, Chasing Cosby: The Downfall of America’s Dad, her name and her story are public.
The Sylvania Township resident is one of 12 women who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault and agreed to tell their stories to support Andrea Constand’s civil suit against the comedian in 2005. All were anonymous Jane Does at the time, and the suit was settled without their testimony going public.
